EC Cultural Awards
The Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture (DSARC) MEC Fezeka Bayeni congratulated artists for their creative excellency at the 6th Eastern Cape Provincial Arts and Culture Awards on Friday, 21 February 2020.

The lecturer emphasized the need to learn from countries like Italy, which faced medical shortages due to the pandemic.

WSU lecturer scoops visual arts prize
The winners of the 2019 PPC Imaginarium Awards have been announced, with Eastern Cape artist Sonwabiso Ngcai winning the overall award.
Sonwabiso’s win was announced at UJ Gallery on 11 April 2019, where he received a R150 000 cash prize for his sculpture entitled Isigu, or The Snare..
